The oldest man on Earth died in Israel on 114-m to year of life

Moscow. August 11. INTERFAX.RU — The oldest man on the planet Israeli Israel Krishtal died Friday at the age of 113 years, did not live a month to 114-th birthday, reports the website of the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

In 2016, after the death of the Japanese yasutaro Koide he was recognized as the oldest living inhabitants of the Earth.

Krishtal was born 15 September 1903, in the Polish countryside Garnov, which then was located on the territory of the Russian Empire. In 1920 he moved to Lodz, where he married and opened a confectionery company.

In 1940, after the Nazi seizure of Poland by Germany I. Krishtal was in the Lodz ghetto and then to concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. During the Holocaust killed his wife and two children.

After the Second world war, he married a second time and in 1950, moved to Israel, where he continued to engage in the confectionery business.

The publication writes that when he asked Crystal about the secret of his longevity, he said: “everyone’s luck, she is given from above. No secrets here”.
