WASHINGTON, 9 Aug — RIA Novosti, Dmitry Zlatarev. The United States and Russia will hold next meeting in the framework of the bilateral Commission on POWs and missing in October in Washington, told RIA Novosti Deputy head of the Ministry of defense of Russia to perpetuate the memory of those killed in the defense of the Fatherland Andrey Taranov.
He noted that the meeting held “in the framework of a working group on Afghanistan and the cold war.”
As said the interlocutor of the Agency, only the current year was a planned four such meetings. One of the working groups — the Korean war — meets in Washington now. Two panels — the Second world war and the Vietnam war — already took place earlier.
“All negotiations are conducted within the framework of these groups, involved professionals on practice performing tasks that we set. They also answer the earlier questions of a technical nature,” said Taranov.
