Bosphorus closed due to search works, re-opened to navigation. This was stated by RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the Ministry of transport, shipping and communications of Turkey Turan Shanik.
“The ships that participated in operation on search of bodies of drowned in July the teenager, leaving the Strait,” said Shanic. According to him, the operation was not successful, the search will continue, but the Bosphorus “is unlikely to overlap, as it is fraught with great difficulties”.
Previously, on 10 August it was reported that the Strait was closed to shipping because of underwater search and rescue, the cause of which was not called. According to the port services of Istanbul, the navigation was planned to restore at 18:00 local time (coincides with Moscow).
