Former Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak did not rule out the possibility of delegation to the Federation Council, a Senator from Mordovia. He said this on air of the program “Press conference” on TV channel “Russia 24”.
“As for my future, Vladimir Volkov – the Governor of the Republic of Mordovia – including me in the list as one of the three possible representatives of the Republic in the Federation Council. Of course, I am grateful for the trust and would be honored if such decision is made, but to talk about it sooner, because the election has not yet taken place,” – said Kislyak.
According to him, it is necessary to wait for the elections and then the decision of the head of the Republic.
Elections of the head of Mordovia will take place on 10 September.
