LONDON, August 3. /TASS/. British actor Robert hardy, known for his roles as Minister of magic Cornelius Fudge in four films about Harry Potter, died on 92-m to year of life. This was announced on Thursday, television channel Sky News, citing a statement from the family of the deceased.

Hardy was born in 1925 in the English resort town of Cheltnam. In 1959, on the stage of the Royal Shakespeare company, he played alongside Laurence Olivier in “the Tragedy of Coriolan”.

Hardy is also remembered the repeated performance of the roles of Prime Minister Winston Churchill, including in one of the film adaptations of Agatha Christie’s miss Marple. For the role of Churchill in the TV movie Bi-bi-si, established in 1981, he was awarded the British Academy of film and television arts (BAFTA).
