The Moscow city court changed the punishment to the convict for robbery wheelchair Anton Mamaev. Instead of 4.5 years in prison he will pay a fine of 200 thousand rubles, reports the Agency “Moscow”.
“Consider his state of health as mitigating circumstances, the category of crime to change from serious to moderate. As a result, to appoint punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of 200 thousand rubles,” — announced the decision one of the judges Board, reports RIA Novosti.
The victims in court said that Mamaev came to the meeting together with the armed people threatened and tried to take the scooter. “We’re not scared, and his companions, the more they had weapons,” — said Dmitry Malov. According to him, “fearing for his life and health”, he gave the documents and the keys of the scooter.
Mamaev, in turn, said that the victim offered him to purchase the vehicle. “I came to the meeting with his assistant to take the scooter and to show specialist”, — said the convict. Mamaev also said that the crime for which he was convicted, he did not commit.
The Prosecutor insisted on the guilt. However, it is suggested to substitute the punishment with the conditional.
In this case also were convicted Vasily Seroshtanov (personal assistant Mamaev), who received three years in prison. His sentence is left without change, informs “Interfax”.
