The head of the European Council Donald Tusk arrives for questioning at the Prosecutor’s office in Warsaw

The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, arrived in the Polish Prosecutor’s office in Warsaw. On Thursday, August 3, reports news Agency PAP.

“It [the investigation] concerns, in particular, the former Prosecutor of the Military district Prosecutor in Warsaw who did not participate in the autopsy of the bodies of 95 victims of the Smolensk disaster in Russia have not formally applied for admission to the autopsy, and not had this procedure after the victims ‘bodies were taken to Poland”, — reads the statement of the Prosecutor’s office, which leads to Radio Poland.

Tusk is a witness in this case. In the period from November 2007 to September 2016, a politician was Prime Minister of Poland and, in particular, was responsible for the work of the security services.

On 13 September last year it was reported that the investigation team of the Polish Prosecutor’s office decided to exhume the bodies of all the victims who were on Board the Tu-154. The result of the research revealed that the remains of some victims were mixed up.

On 10 April 2010 near Smolensk fell the Tu-154, on Board of which were high-ranking Polish politicians, including the President of the country Lech Kaczynski with the spouse. As a result, all passengers and crew members were killed. The interstate aviation Committee called the cause of the incident was pilot error. The Polish side did its own investigation and laid part of the blame on Russian air traffic controllers. The investigation continues both in Poland and in Russia.
