Tillerson will meet with Lavrov in the end of the week in Manila
Moscow. August 1. INTERFAX.RU — U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson said on Tuesday that it expects to hold talks with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov later this week in Manila.
“I will meet with foreign Minister Lavrov this weekend on the sidelines of the meetings in Manila”, — he told reporters in Washington. Tillerson noted that all contacts with its Russian counterpart was “very professional, not hostile.”
Later the source, the Russian foreign Ministry confirmed to Interfax information about the meeting of foreign Ministers of the two countries. “In the coming weekend in the capital of the Philippines, Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov plans to take part in the activities of ASEAN and the Ministerial meeting of the East Asia summit, in which, reportedly, will be taking part and the Secretary of state Rex Tillerson. Ministers will see”, — said the interlocutor of “Interfax”.
