Ukraine reported on the doubling of volumes of human trafficking

Ukrainian law enforcement agencies during the first six months of 2017 has assisted 156 victims of crimes in the sphere of trafficking. This is stated in the press service of the National police of the country, released on Sunday, July 30.

The police stressed that this figure compared to last year has doubled. Among the victims — 119 women, 37 men and 12 children.

Also, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies indicate that in 2017 they had established 69 of criminals involved in human trafficking.

It is also noted that all are becoming more common forms of trafficking that do not involve sexual exploitation. In particular, the rise of labour exploitation, whose victims are most often men of working age or persons with obvious signs of disability, without a permanent place of residence and other disadvantaged categories of citizens.
