The Palestinian President hospitalized

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas admitted to hospital to undergo examinations. On Saturday, July 29, the Associated Press reports.

On admission Abbas said his spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeneh. According to a spokesperson, 82-year-old politician will be discharged from hospital within a few hours.

In June, Abbas has denied recent media reports that he suffered a heart attack. In 2016, he underwent emergency cardiac catheterization. In addition, previously the leader of the Palestinian authority suffered prostate cancer and thrombotic arterial stenosis.

Abbas has also repeatedly expressed reluctance to leave his post or name a possible successor in the event of health problems. He heads the Palestinian authority in 2005, but his government does not control Gaza, which is run by the administration, controlled by the group Hamas.
