WA, 26 Jul — RIA Novosti, Alexei Bogdanovsky. Speaker of the house of representatives Paul Ryan welcomed the adoption by the house bill on sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea and called the country “the most dangerous enemies of the United States”.

“The variety of threats to our national security from Iran, Russia, and North Korea should not be underestimated. These dangerous actors in the international arena has been trying to undermine US efforts and disrupt global stability. Our job in Congress is to call them to account. The bill, which we have just done with overwhelming support of both parties, is one of the most extensive package of sanctions in history. He tightens the screws to our most dangerous opponents, so that the Americans were safe,” the statement says Ryan.

The house of representatives adopted the law on toughening of sanctions against these three countries, the bill is pending consideration by the Senate.

The bill proposes to limit the powers of the President to lift sanctions and to give Congress the last word in these matters. The bill also codifies and gives the force of law sanctions that act on the basis of Executive decrees of President Barack Obama. This greatly complicates any prospects of lifting the sanctions, regardless of how the future will shape US relations with Russia but also with Iran and North Korea.

Earlier, the Kremlin expected, said that “extremely negative” estimate the bill, and the EU called it “unilateral actions of Washington.”
