Voters 20 regions since July 26, unable to submit applications on voting at the place of stay
Starts accepting applications of citizens for inclusion in the voter list at the place of location, the CEC reported.
MOSCOW, July 26. /TASS/. Residents of the 20 regions in which the single voting day on 10 September elections of governors and deputies of the legislative Assembly, Wednesday, July 26, may submit to the election commissions of application for inclusion in the voter lists at the place of residence, not place of registration.
As reported yesterday in a press-service of the CEC, on this day “begins reception of statements of citizens included in the voter list at the place of residence”.
To vote wherever is convenient, and not at the place of official registration, available to residents of the 20 regions.
As repeatedly stressed in the CEC, this will be a test of the new system of voting without absentee ballots before the presidential elections in March 2018.
In the single voting day on 10 September the election of deputies of the legislative Assembly will be held in North Ossetia, Udmurtia, Krasnodar, Penza, Saratov and Sakhalin regions. Direct elections of heads of regions will take place in 16 regions of Buryatia, Karelia, Mari El, Mordovia, Udmurtia, Perm Krai, Belgorod, Kaliningrad, Kirov, Novgorod, Ryazan, Saratov, Sverdlovsk, Tomsk and Yaroslavl regions and in Sevastopol.
