Negotiations of the Russian military and the moderate Syrian opposition held in Cairo (Egypt), ended with the signing of the agreement on the functioning of the zone of de-escalation “Eastern ghouta” in Syria. About it reports on Saturday, July 22, the Russian defense Ministry, reports TASS.
“The laws determine the boundaries of the zone of de-escalation, the deployment location and the powers of the forces of control de-escalation, and routes of delivery of humanitarian aid and the free passage of residents”, — noted in the defense Ministry.
It is planned that the first humanitarian convoy in the area of de-escalation will go in the coming days.
Earlier at an international meeting in Astana reached an agreement on the establishment of a de-escalation in Syria. They plan to organize in Idlib, North of HOMS, Eastern ghouta and in the South Arab country. Also, the results of the Russian-American summit in Hamburg announced the creation of a zone of de-escalation in the area of Deraa, Quneitra and es-Sweida.
