Trump demanded that Iran release detained Americans

The President of the United States Donald trump demanded that Iran release detained American citizens, in the case of non-compliance he “initiates a new serious consequences” for Tehran. This is stated in a White house statement, posted Friday, July 21.

“For 40 years, Iran has used the detention and taking of hostages as an instrument of state policy. This practice continues to this day: recently, an American citizen, Siye Wang was sentenced to ten years in prison,” — said in a press release.

Trump demands release of former law enforcement officer Robert Levinson and businessmen and Backer Siamak Namazi, who were accused of espionage.

The White house also demanded Tehran to provide normal conditions for all imprisoned American citizens.

“President trump is ready to initiate a new serious consequences for Iran if all unjustly detained U.S. citizens are released,” the statement says.
