TASS, July 20. The remains of the Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dali (1904-1989) was exhumed on Thursday evening in Figueres in North East Spain (Autonomous community Catalonia) at the request of women, claiming that he was her father. This was reported by Reuters. Experts in the field of forensic examination in the presence of lawyers took DNA samples from the embalmed body of the deceased.

The ashes of the painter was disturbed by the decision of the court, which was allowed to carry out this procedure in connection with the need “to obtain samples of the remains to determine whether he is the biological father of the woman who sued to be recognized as the daughter of the artist.” We are talking about Pilar Abel from Girona (Catalonia).
