The court in the Hague ordered Russia to pay the Netherlands €5.4 million in connection with the case Arctic Sunrise

The international Tribunal ruled that Russia must pay the Netherlands €5.4 million plus interest for the detention in 2013 of the vessel Arctic Sunrise owned by Greenpeace, and 30 activists of the organization. About it reports Reuters.

The decision on compensation rendered an arbitral Tribunal consisting of five persons. In 2015, the Tribunal ruled that Russia was responsible for the incident in accordance with the UN Convention on the law of the sea. The Russian side did not participate in the consideration of this case.
