In the state Duma the idea of Parubiy to deprive Moscow of the right of veto in the UN security Council called stupidity

A member of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Kazbek Taysaev believes that the call of the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy to deprive Russia the right of veto in the UN security Council in matters concerning Ukraine, no more than stupidity. About the MP stated to RIA Novosti.

“No one listen to the government, especially the Parliament of Ukraine today. This is the stupidest statement you could make,” said Taysaev.

The parliamentarian recalled that the right of veto in the UN Security Council, the Soviet Union and Russia as the legal successor of all obligations of the USSR received after the war tulisa.

“And in fact, our country was one of the founders of the United Nations. So what I say today to the illegal government of Ukraine, no one is interested. I think this is all nonsense,” said Taysaev.

He advised the authorities of Ukraine to pay attention to the processes that take place inside the country, including on human rights.

The proposal to deprive Russia the right of veto in the security Council paruby put forward on Sunday, 9 July, at a meeting with UN Secretary-General antónio Guterres. In particular, the speaker of the Rada believes that Russia should limit the use of the veto in those matters which concern Ukraine.

Russia along with the USA, China, France and the UK is a permanent member of the UN security Council and has veto power.
