Putin hopes for a dialogue with Japan in addressing long-standing problems

HAMBURG, Aug 7 — RIA Novosti. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin hopes that an intensive dialogue with Japan will help solve long-standing problems and will allow to develop bilateral relations.

“I am very pleased that we have such an intensive dialogue is underway, and this will certainly contribute to the development of bilateral relations, and hope that will allow us to solve old problems,” Putin said at a meeting with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the G20 summit on Friday.

He welcomed the Japanese leader’s call him “you”, and noticed that in the nearest future Vladivostok will host another meeting. “As we discussed recently on the Kuril Islands was visited by a delegation of business people, representatives of the business. We will move towards our agreements,” — said the President of Russia.

Putin said that he was very glad on the margins of the summit meeting with Abe.
