HAMBURG, July 8. /TASS/. The meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel Makron began in Hamburg at the Atlantic hotel. The conversation takes place for a working Breakfast.
As told earlier, reporters Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, the leaders of Russia, France and Germany will focus on the theme of Ukrainian settlement. Participants of the “Normandy Quartet” will hold a conversation the three of us without the representative of Ukraine, as this state is not included in “twenty” and is not listed among the specially invited for the current G20 summit.
The question of Ukrainian settlement will be raised on the sidelines of the Hamburg summit is not the first time: in particular, on Friday, he among others was discussed at the talks between Putin and U.S. President Donald trump.

According to Lavrov, “the two leaders agreed to create a channel between the representative of the Russian Federation and the representative of the United States” to promote settlement on the basis of the Minsk agreements, “based on the potential that lies in the contact group [on Ukraine] and in the “channel format”.
