Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the new limousine intended for senior officials. The car was developed in the framework of the national project “Cortege”. On this edition of “Izvestia,” said Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov.
According to the Minister, Putin tested “prototype A”, part of a batch of cars that will be available to the FSO until the end of the year.
The President familiarized with the project, watched the different stages, said Manturov. However, he added that to demonstrate to the head of state, “prototype B” is not possible.
The President instructed to start the project “Cortege” in 2012. The project is planned to create a luxury car. The range should include the limousine, sedan, SUV and minivan. All cars are intended for senior officials. It is planned that all cars will be presented after the elections in 2018 at the inauguration of the President.
