MOSCOW, 6 Jul — RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted for ratification to the state Duma the Protocol to the agreement between Russia and Syria on the placement of the aviation group of the Russian Armed forces on the territory of the SAR, follows from the document database of the lower house.
The Protocol was signed on 18 January in Damascus.
Earlier it was reported that the provisions of the Protocol relating to the deployment of Russian aviation group of the armed forces, its movable and immovable property on the territory of Syria, as well as issues relating to its functioning.
In addition, the Protocol clarifies the status of the personnel of the Russian aviation group, family members of personnel, as well as the competent authorities of the Russian side.
