Damascus has threatened U.S. retaliation in case of aggression

The US administration must take into account the possibility of retaliatory action in the event of a new aggression against Syria. This was stated by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs Faisal Miqdad, RIA Novosti reported.

“Washington should carefully consider the (possible) actions of Damascus and Moscow to respond to any new aggression,”— said Miqdad at a press conference in the capital.

According to the diplomat, Syria has completely abandoned the chemical program. The country did not have any chemical weapons and poisonous gases that can be used for military purposes.

On 28 June, the foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov has warned that Moscow will respond adequately and proportionately in the event that the United States implement its threats against Damascus over alleged preparations for a chemical attack.
