According to him, February 23, the President will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and meet with the participants of the Russian naval group led by the cruiser “Admiral Kuznetsov” to the shores of Syria, as well as with heads of delegations of the Military sports games. In addition, on this day, Putin will hold a meeting with the permanent members of the security Council of Russia.
Earlier, the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky has urged to postpone the celebration of defender of the Fatherland Day in April. “The army is not created on February 23, 1918, 99 years ago, and lake Peipus, 5 April 1242”, — said the politician.
