Bortnikov suspected Kiev in the preparation of terrorist acts in the Crimea
Moscow. 13 Dec. INTERFAX.RU — Ukrainian state authorities and radical organizations went on to the preparation and implementation of terrorist plans in the Crimea, said the head of NAK Alexander Bortnikov at a meeting of the Committee on Tuesday.
“Into action for the preparation and implementation of terrorist plans in the Crimea have moved to Ukrainian state authorities and radical organizations. This year, the Russian FSB neutralized two Ukrainian diversionary group, which planned attacks on vital facilities of the Peninsula,” — said Bortnikov.
According to him, in 2017 the main sources of terrorist threats will remain.
“International terrorist organizations will continue to attempt to raise the level of terrorist activity on the territory of our country”, — said Bortnikov.
“In this regard, one of the main tasks (anti-terrorism) Committee and staff will be the coordination of efforts of subjects of counteraction to terrorism to tighten control of migration flows, combating recruitment and other activities of persons that are members of international terrorist organizations, and addressing resource and financial support of armed groups”, — said Bortnikov.
He noted that as a priority, this task should be carried out in the regions with the most difficult situation, especially in the North Caucasus Federal district.
