Since the beginning of the new academic year, remedial and special schools will be “just schools.” Their names will be excluded to explain the console, but the functionality will not change. This was stated by the Minister of education and science Olga Vasilyeva, reports on Wednesday, August 30, “Interfax”.
According to her, the number of educational institutions for children with disabilities will remain the same (1764 school) and they will retain their allowances. She also noted that none of the correctional school in 2016 was not closed. These institutions will equip the complex to check the health of students — vision, hearing, postural and other indicators.
In parallel, we will develop inclusive education, 11 thousands of ordinary schools to take so 367 thousand children.
Vasilyev promised to pay attention to the training of speech pathologists. Now such specialists are prepared in 60 universities, this year will be held their first all-Russian Congress.
On 6 July the Minister of education Olga Vasilieva announced the transfer of all Russian schools from the jurisdiction of the municipalities in the subordination of regional authorities. In her opinion, the participation of municipalities in the creation of training programs prevents the creation of a unified educational space.
