Vice-Prime Minister of Japan apologized for his words about Hitler
TOKYO, 30 Aug — RIA Novosti, Xenia Naka. Vice-Prime Minister of Japan, Minister of Finance and close friend of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Taro ASO apologized Wednesday for his remarks about Adolf Hitler.
On the eve of ASO, in his lecture before the young politicians — his supporters, stressed the importance of the result of the activities of the policy and cited the example of Hitler: “About the motives of policy do not ask. The result is important. No matter how faithful to the motives of Hitler, killed several million people, that’s not good.”
“It is obvious that a mistake was made about the motives of Hitler. I take back those words, because bringing it as an example is inappropriate”, — quotes Agency Kyodo a statement issued on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister.
With sharp criticism of ASO remarks about Hitler were made by the opposition Democratic party, insisting that people with such views may not be part of the government.
