In Syria terrorist gangs merged into a new group called “Heat Tahrir al-sham” , said the head of the main Directorate of the General staff of the Armed forces of Russia the General-Colonel Igor Korobov, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to Korobov, have teamed up for 70 of armed groups, the total number of new group was more than 25 thousand people.
A key role in the new structure plays “Dzhabhat EN-Nusra” (banned in Russia).
“This group is actively fighting against the government troops as well as against moderate opposition in the provinces of Aleppo, Damascus, Idlib and Hama,” said Korobov.
