The U.S. air force has signed contracts to build nuclear cruise missiles of a new type
Us air force (USAF) and Lockheed Martin Corporation and Raytheon entered into contracts to build new cruise missiles of distant radius of action, capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, according to the Pentagon.
The cost of each contract will be $900 million, the two companies will have by 2022 to create about 1 thousand of missiles.
After comparing the products of both companies with either Lockheed Martin or Raytheon signed a separate agreement for the production of new missiles to run out of range of the defenses.
