The United States can resume the issuance of the Russians nonimmigrant visas. This statement was made by Deputy head of the us diplomatic mission in Russia Anthony Godfrey. His words RIA Novosti reported.
“After September 1 with our new team, if I may say so, we will consider how it will be possible to increase the number of those with whom we can arrange an interview. And even if it is possible to renew the visa in our Consulate General in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok,” said Godfrey.
Godfrey added that the priority now considers the reduction of personnel of the U.S. Embassy, as it ordered the foreign Ministry.
August 23 United States imposed restrictions on the issuance of nonimmigrant visas throughout Russia. The procedure will be resumed in September in Moscow. July 28, Moscow has reduced the number of employees of the us diplomatic mission in Russia up to 455 people. Just to 1 September 2017 the number of staff of the US diplomatic mission will be reduced by 755 people. In addition, from 1 August, the us diplomats denied access to the Embassy dacha in Serebryany Bor, and storage areas on a Traffic street in Moscow.
At the end of 2016, the U.S. has expanded the package of anti-sanctions under the pretext “of Moscow’s interference in the election of the President.” The administration of former U.S. President Barack Obama has deported 35 Russian diplomats and seized diplomatic garden in new York and Washington. In the Kremlin all the charges in influencing the presidential campaign in the United States deny.
