The Commissioner for human rights Tatyana Moskalkova plans on Tuesday, August 22, to fly to Rostov-on-don to familiarise himself with the situation of citizens deprived of their property by fire. About TASS reported to the office of the Ombudsman.
“The Commissioner intends to ensure that the rights of citizens lost their homes and property were not violated,” — said the Agency interlocutor. In the office of the Ombudsman stressed that Moskalkova keeps under personal control the situation with the fire.
Moskalkova believes it is important “not to disrupt the rights of citizens to housing that they receive equivalent housing to replace burned-out”. In addition, it intends to control the timely payment of compensation to citizens for lost property.
The fire occurred in the private sector in the historical centre of Rostov-on-don on Monday afternoon. Burned 25 private houses on a total area of 10 thousand square meters. According to the MOE, injured about 100 buildings. Around 19:00 was declared the location of the fire.
There were no casualties. Help the doctors took 36 victims were hospitalized and eight people. The fire was assigned the fourth number of complexity. The city declared a state of emergency.
