Most Russians believe justified reasonable expenses for the wedding, it follows from the results of a survey conducted by the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).
Nine percent see the need for a luxurious wedding. Another 11 percent do not consider it necessary to hold the celebration at the marriage registration.
Among the mandatory elements of the wedding ceremony the Russians called registration in the registry office (75%), the presence at the ceremony family and friends (61%) and wedding dresses with a suit (59 percent). According to most respondents, the best time for marriage are summer and autumn.
While few of the respondents were able to recall a popular custom at weddings. Only 11 percent of respondents called the bride.
The survey was conducted from 9 to 10 August on the phone. It was attended by 1200 people over the age of 18. The statistical error does not exceed 3.5%.
According to sociologists, the Russians now marrying later, the family created in 28-30 years. This was stated by the General Director of VTSIOM Valery Fedorov. According to him, today people are leaving themselves the opportunity to “try, test” and don’t want ahead of time to make mistakes.
