RIGA, Aug 14 — RIA Novosti. The aggravation of the situation around the Korean Peninsula could lead to the outbreak of world war II, said Monday on air of the Latvian radio Baltkom, the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“We (the foreign Ministry) have said that the situation is on the brink. But despite this, we hear rhetoric, and Pyongyang, and the statements that go every day from Washington. The paradox is that they are identical. There is a direct intimidation with the use of force by both sides… the feeling that all the statements of Pyongyang translated into English and voiced by official representatives of the United States,” Zakharova said during the broadcast about the Korean crisis.
In her opinion, the US is a complete Toolkit of possibilities of solving international crises through diplomatic means, “but all this is forgotten.”
