Russian officials may be allowed to receive expensive gifts
The Ministry of industry and trade of Russia proposed to allow the officials to receive gifts more expensive than 3 thousand roubles, provided that products of national art crafts (NHP), the newspaper “Izvestia”.
According to industry representatives, due to the current ban instead of giving civil servants the highly artistic products of the Russian production, they have to be replaced by cheap imported substitutes.
Because of this, the Ministry has proposed to increase the limit of cost of the gifts.
According to the Chairman of the Board of the Association “National art crafts of Russia” Gennady Drozhzhin, Zhostovo trays, Gzhel and other gifts can cost around 10 thousand rubles.
