Konstantin Kosachev
The Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev called the statement of the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski, who accused the USSR in the outbreak of the Second world war, is immoral. The announcement came in an interview with RT.
According to the Senator, the statement reflects the consistent policy of the current leadership of Poland. It’s trying to represent his country if not sole, victim of fascism, and all other States to declare the aggressors or bystanders.
“I remind you that Poland in the first half of the 30-ies was represented by Hitler’s Germany in the League of Nations. After the famous Munich agreement on the division of Czechoslovakia is Poland, not being formally a party to this agreement, annexed forcibly the considerable part of Czechoslovakia,” — said Kosachev. “Therefore, to handle a sick head on healthy, trying on the Soviet Union to lay along with Nazi Germany responsibility for the outbreak of the Second world war, is immoral, irresponsible and antiasteniceski” he said.
Earlier statement Waszczykowski commented Vice-speaker of the state Duma Irina Yarovaya. “The Polish foreign Minister has come in his false cynicism to the position of ideologue of the Nazi Reich Goebbels: the more monstrously the lie, the more likely will believe it”, she said.
The Polish Minister said about the responsibility of the USSR for the outbreak of the war, 10 Aug. He also added that Moscow entered the war with the Third Reich “in their own interests as a victim of German aggression”.
In early August the Minister of defence of Poland Anthony Macierewicz told about the collusion of the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany to kill poles.
