The representative of the founder of USM Holdings Alisher Usmanov commented on the decision of Moscow city court, which dismissed the complaint of opposition leader Alexei Navalny on the decision under the claim about protection of honor and dignity of a businessman. “The court once again confirmed that all the statements of the Bulk do not correspond to reality, denigrates the honor, dignity and business reputation of the plaintiff. The appeal of the defendant is left without satisfaction” — he said.
Earlier Friday it was reported that the Moscow city court rejected the founder of the Fund of struggle against corruption (FBK) of the complaint. It is obliged within 10 days to remove the accepted untrue information about Usmanov from three sites on the channel in YouTube and in Facebook. The first instance decision was changed only partially: the opposition is obliged to delete the videos entirely, but only its fragments.
Alisher Usmanov has filed a lawsuit against Alexei Navalny in April due to published in early March, FBK materials, including a film-investigation “He’s not Dimon.” They claimed that the businessman handed over a plot with a house in the village of Znamenskoye on Rublevo-Uspensky highway in the gift of the sotsgosproyekt Foundation as a bribe to the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. The court Usmanov won, but the decision is not immediately entered into force for Navalny filed an appeal.
