In Nepal passed a law prohibiting women in menstruation hut. On it informs “bi-Bi-si”.
According to the document, the expulsion of women from the house during menstruation is punishable by a fine in the amount of 30 dollars or imprisonment for a period of three months. The law will come into force during the year.
Formally, the custom is to kick a woman out of the house during menstruation — chhaupadi, — ascending to the ancient Hindu tradition, was banned in 2005, but no punishment for him was not supposed to. In the end, the women continued to drive, and they were forced for several days to live in unsuitable areas where they were forbidden to eat plenty and to have contact with men.
The law was passed only once over the past year during chhaupadi killed two women. In December 2015, fifteen-year-old girl suffocated from the smoke, trying to light a fire to keep warm, and in July 2017 the girl died from a snake bite, cause in her hut.
