The head EMERCOM of Russia Vladimir Puchkov has imposed a state of emergency in the Yakut village of peace because of the accident at the mine diamond mining company “ALROSA”, reports TASS.
“All services are switching to clock mode”, — said Puchkov.
According to the Agency, appeared on the surface 142 miners, nine more remain at the bottom.
On Friday afternoon, August 4, the flooded mine is 270 thousand cubic meters of groundwater. The alleged reason for the flooding of the Yakut mine could be a manufacturing fault in the storage tank water.
ALROSA is a company engaged in diamond mining. The share of this holding accounts for about a quarter of this market globally.
