The Prosecutor asks to appoint RBC journalist Sokolov four years in prison

MOSCOW, 17 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Prosecutor asks the court to appoint the four years of penal colony, the investigative Committee Alexander Sokolov in the case of the organization of extremist activity, RIA news from the hall of the Tver court of Moscow.

“I ask the court to recognize Alexander Sokolov guilty and sentenced him to four years of imprisonment with punishment serving in a colony of General regime”, — said the Prosecutor.

She also asked the sentence within the business writer Yuri Mukhin to four years and six months in prison, and activist Kirill Barabash and Valery Parfyonov — to four years in a General regime colony.

The prosecution of defendants based on the testimony of secret witnesses, and recordings of conversations of the defendants and presentations of some of them at the rally in may 2013, follows from the speech of the Prosecutor.
