Lukashenko invited the Belarusians to “bite” into the European market
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called for further normalization of relations with the European Union in the most important economic priorities for the country, reports “Interfax”.
According to him, the improvement of the European-Belarusian relations should be an incentive for Belarusian companies “bite” in the EU market.

Lukashenko added that the EU is going through difficult times, but “I can assure you, with these challenges the EU will cope”. “The EU is a powerful pillar of a multipolar world. That says it all,” said he.
The President reminded that there are no more quotas on deliveries of Belarusian textiles, there are shifts in the position of the EU on cooperation of Belarus with the European investment Bank and the European Bank for reconstruction and development, on the accession of Belarus to the WTO.
As published in the February statistics, the export of Belarusian goods to the EU in 2016 fell by a third, including due to the reduction of export of oil products caused by the short supply of Russian oil.
