Died artist Ilya Glazunov
MOSCOW, 9 Aug — RIA Novosti. Famous Soviet and Russian artist Ilya Glazunov died at the age of 87 years, told RIA Novosti on Sunday in his environment.

Patriarch Kirill expressed condolences to relatives of Glazunov.
Member of the Academy of arts of Russia, people’s artist of the USSR Ilya Glazunov is one of the most famous Russian artists, painter, book Illustrator, stage designer, author of more than three thousand works. Glazunov founded the Russian Academy of painting, sculpture and architecture. Gallery of the artist and the Museum of estates was repeatedly visited by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Glazunov was a member of the Royal Academy of arts in Madrid and Barcelona, was awarded a gold medal “For contribution to world culture and civilization” (UNESCO), the order of the Monk Sergei of Radonezh (1999), and the Monk Andrei Rublev (2010), full cavalier of the order “For merits before Fatherland”.
