MOSCOW, 4 Jul — RIA Novosti. Chinese archaeologists have found that people who lived on the territory of modern Shandong province five thousand years ago, were characterized by high growth and great physical strength, according to China Daily.
In the course of excavations near the city of Jinan scientists have learned from the graves, the remains of several people, whose growth in life greater than 180 centimeters. At least one skeleton belonged to a man taller than 190 centimeters.

According to scientists, they found the remains of people of the so-called Longshan culture, which existed in the basin of the yellow river during the II Millennium BC
“By the time the locals already knew how to cultivate the land and had many different food sources, which is reflected in their physical performance,” — explained one of the employees of Shandong University. The ancient people also raised pigs, and the main crop was millet.

In some graves were found articles of jade and colored ceramics. Excavated dwellings indicate that representatives of the Longshan culture lived in relatively comfortable conditions in their homes had a separate bedroom and kitchen, writes China Daily.
