Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his American counterpart Donald trump July 7 — the first day of the summit of “Big twenty” in Hamburg. This was announced by the assistant to the Russian leader Yury Ushakov, RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday, July 4.
“Agreed, the 7th [July],” said a Kremlin spokesman told reporters. What is the format of negotiations, is not specified.
July 3, Ushakov said that among the topics that will be discussed by the leaders of the two countries, crisis in Ukraine, the Syrian settlement, the problem of arms control.
At the end of last month, Ushakov reiterated that the agreement on the meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States on the sidelines of the summit reached, however, the format of negotiations must be agreed through diplomatic channels.
In the framework of the summit of “twenty”, which will be held in Hamburg from 7 to 8 July, the Russian leader is scheduled more than 10 meetings, including with the presidents of France, Turkey, South Korea, Mexico and South Africa. In addition, in Putin’s chart are the contacts with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, Merkel, and the Prime Minister of Australia and President of the European Commission.
