MOE will train priests and volunteers of the ROC to work in emergency zones

The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) has signed a cooperation agreement with EMERCOM of Russia. On Tuesday, July 4, reported TASS the press service of the Patriarch.

“Religious organizations of the Russian Orthodox Church will participate in providing assistance to the affected population in emergency situations”, — told in the Church. To do this, the Ministry staff will be trained priests, nurses and volunteers. They will, if necessary, use to work directly in zones of emergency situations (es).

Information about the emergency will come from the Department in the regional diocese, which will be promptly addressed questions about the need for exit volunteers. The agreement also provides for setting up a field of temples in places of disaster.

Representatives of the Church, according to the document, will participate in the exercises and conferences organized by the emergency Department. They will also take to the territorial Supervisory commissions that are responsible for preventing emergencies and fires.

At the same time, the priests will conduct for employees of the MES classes on the basics of Orthodox culture, to transmit in units books, audio and videos with spiritual themes.
