Accusations of Western countries in Moscow that Russia allegedly hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria are untrue, said Tuesday the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.
“This “group of seven minus Japan”, this “six” a few days ago released a statement in which they accused us that we do not give an opportunity for the UN to deliver humanitarian assistance. That’s not true, to put it mildly. We were accused that the alleged withholding from the SAR government that it agreed to a humanitarian UN plan. This is also true, the government gave consent”, — Lavrov told reporters.
According to the Russian Minister, the militants “didn’t sign up for that plan.” “The fact that the Western “six” announced the alleged consent of the militants, is also not true,” he said.
The Russian foreign Minister added that such accusations are the result of the inability of Western countries “to reason with those whom they have fed, created and armed with the sole desire to change the regime in Syria.”
