Senator Tsekov: US arms supplies to Kiev will lead to an escalation of military tension
Possible US arms supplies to Kiev, including missiles and mortars, may lead to an escalation of military tension in Ukraine from the Americans themselves. This assessment was given by a member of the Federation Council from Crimea Sergei Tsekov in an interview with News.ru.
According to the senator, the equipment may end up in third countries, as well as in the hands of terrorists. He noted that the weapons that the United States supplied to Central Asia and the Middle East, after some time were directed against the United States and other countries.
“The United States should not arm Ukraine. Kiev is distinguished by such a sphere of foreign economic activity as the sale of weapons, “Tsekov concluded.
Earlier it became known that the administration of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, is discussing the possibility of sending military advisers and weapons to Ukraine against the background of the alleged concentration of Russian troops at borders. It is clarified that the aid package may include Javelin anti-tank missiles, mortars and air defense systems.
