Alpha insurance: 57% of Russians would be satisfied with the indexation of wages by 20%

More than half (57 percent) of Russians believe that they wages must be indexed by 20 percent or more. This is stated in the poll “Alfastrakhovanie”, reports TASS.

It is this level of wage increases that would completely satisfy them. At the same time, one third of the respondents would be satisfied with indexing by at least 10 percent. Nine percent of Russians want to earn twice as much.

According to Russians, an increase in the level of income is possible only with regular indexation of salaries. At the same time, the majority (62 percent) do not remember when their salary was last increased. 24 percent were able to boast of a certain stability (their earnings are reevaluated every five years). Annual indexation was found in 16 percent of respondents.

About 33 percent consider it fair to recalculate salaries once every six months, 51 percent – once a year. 79 percent of Russians' salaries remained at the same level for the year. About 19 percent said that their salaries had increased and they were able to improve their well-being during the crisis year. Two percent of the pandemic had their salaries lowered.

Earlier it was reported that the majority of IT specialists in Russia expressed dissatisfaction with the working conditions – 78 percent of Russians employed in the digital industry are going to leave for another company in two to three years … At the same time, the digital sphere remains the fastest growing and highest paid.
