Activists of the Russian movement of schoolchildren paid tribute to the memory of the feat of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya
Activists of the Russian movement of schoolchildren across the country held commemorative events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the feat of the first woman awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously) during the Great Patriotic War, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya.
Lessons of memory and courage were held in many schools in Russia. Actions took place in the Tambov region, where she was born, and in the village of Petrishchevo, Moscow region, where her life ended.
Acting Head of the Tambov Region Administration Maxim Yegorov held a thematic historical hour for schoolchildren. He recalled the contribution of the region to the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The region was the main supplier of food to the front. In addition, Yegorov spoke about the feat of his relatives. His grandmother was a military doctor, and his grandfather fought, was wounded at the Kursk Bulge. Other grandparents were in the rear.
“The feat of each person became a contribution to victory in the Great Patriotic War,” Maxim Egorov emphasized.
In Petrishchevo, 150 people gathered near the museum complex of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya activists of the movement. They took an excursion with a visit to the house where Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya spent her last night.
There was also a flower-laying ceremony in memory of the heroine. Together with the activists, Irina Plescheva, executive director of the Russian movement of schoolchildren, laid flowers at the obelisk.
“This action is called“ Zoya's Way ”, where the way is her whole life, which is an example for today's generation. Zoya is not just the first woman Hero of Russia, she is the first girl, she was barely 18 years old. Born in the Tambov region, she tragically ended her journey to Petrishchevo. Today marks 80 years since the feat of Zoe. And we, together with the School Classics project – these are our school theaters that operate throughout the country – have made such an improvised path for Zoya, “said Irina Plescheva.
Until December 9, all schoolchildren of Russia will be able to join online promotions of the movement, one of which is “Essay on the topic“ The feat of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya ”. Participants are invited to study information about her and record a video story, which will reveal the motives of her feat. Another action was the “Lesson in memory of the feat of Zoya Anatolyevna Kosmodemyanskaya”. The teachers were offered to conduct memory lessons. Participants of the “Portrait of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya” action were offered to depict her at any moment of her life. Of the works, it is proposed to organize an exhibition in the foyer of the educational organization.
