Former head of the GUR Burba will go to court because of Zelensky's statements about the reasons for his dismissal
Former head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vasily Burba said that he intends to go to court after statements by President Volodymyr Zelensky on the reasons for his dismissal from office. Burba announced this on the air of the program “Freedom of speech by Savik Shuster”. The program has been published on YouTube.
“I cannot ignore the president’s words addressed to me. Therefore, I have to go to court from tomorrow, and let the court put an end to this issue, “he said.
In addition, Burba commented on the accusations of the head of state that the former head of the GUR allegedly intended to steal the formula vaccines against COVID-19, in order to then transfer this data to Russia or China. He said that he was surprised to hear this, and added that he himself was vaccinated.
Earlier, Zelensky spoke about the special operation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense to capture 33 Russian mercenaries, who were eventually detained by Belarusian security forces in a sanatorium near Minsk ahead of the presidential elections in August 2020 and were transferred to Russia. According to him, at first nothing was reported to him about the special operation. However, when he decided to dismiss Vasily Burba, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, he proposed to seize the Russians in Ukraine in order to retain his position.
The Ukrainian leader also said that Burba had offered to obtain secret information about the origin of the coronavirus and transfer this data to Russia or China. According to him, in addition to this, the former head of the GUR also intended to steal the formula for the vaccine against COVID-19, in order to then again transfer this data to Russia or China.
