arctic landscapes. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Tourism Committee.

The issued stamps depict Hooker Island, Tikhaya Bay and Champ Island, and its landmark – stone balls. The stamps were developed by Russian Post together with the Murmansk Region Tourism Committee.

They are supposed to help the region become more attractive for new tourists.

First day envelopes are now in circulation and a special art stamp depicting the Franz Josef Land archipelago. Due to the limited validity period of a special stamp, envelopes and postcards marked with it are of collectible value.

Earlier it was reported that the construction of the first glamping sites (modular prefabricated hotels) for tourists on the Sredny and Rybachy peninsulas in Murmansk region will start in 2021. Tour operators will be responsible for preserving the environment in the selected unique areas.
