Yle: Finland is thinking about building barriers from migrants on the border with Russia

According to media reports, the need for this measure was raised when the Minister of the Interior and a deputy from the opposition Coalition Party Kai Mykkänen asked the government to consider the possibility of erecting fences on the eastern border in order to prevent migrants from crossing state borders bypassing checkpoints.
Mykkianen said that similar barriers are already being built in Poland, Lithuania and Estonia due to the accumulation of migrants from Belarus.
Earlier, the Finnish border service announced the arrival of 30 refugees from the border of Poland and Belarus. “Several dozen people arrived in Finland via Belarus (30). The situation is stable, it is being monitored, information is being exchanged, ”the Finnish border guards said in a statement. They also clarified that illegal immigrants from the Middle East are trying to get to Central Europe through Finland.
